Dr. Nissan received his DMD and Prosthodontics degrees from Tel-Aviv University School of Dental Medicine. He is Director of Implantology Unit and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Prosthodontics and instructs undergraduate and postgraduate student . Dr. Nissan is the past President of the Israel Prosthodontic Society.

Dr. Nissan is member of the Committee of Postgraduate National Board in Prosthodontics, Scientific Council Israel Dental Association and Ministry of Health. An active member of several international dental societies including: International College of Prosthodontics (ICP), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), International Association of Dental Research (IADR), European Academy of Osseointegration (EAO).

Dr. Nissan has lectured internationally and is the author of 30 international publications on fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
